The Loss Prevention Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of safety, security, and asset protection at the Marriott Resort in Key Largo. This role ensures the safety of guests, employees, and property by implementing and managing effective loss prevention strategies, emergency procedures, and compliance with local and federal regulations. This position will be required to work weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
Security Operations:
  • Conduct regular patrols of the property (interior and exterior).
  • Monitor CCTV systems, alarmed doors, and duress alarms.
  • Ensure proper key control procedures are followed.
  • Investigate and document incidents involving guests or employees.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Administer fire prevention and emergency preparedness programs.
  • Conduct quarterly OSHA/safety audits and hazard assessments.
  • Maintain logs, certifications, and documents required by law and SOPs.
  • Lead the Accident Prevention Committee and first aid programs.
Training & Leadership:
  • Train staff on emergency procedures and loss prevention policies.
  • Promote a culture of safety and assertive hospitality.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive safety practices.
Risk Management:
  • Monitor and control risks through action plans.
  • Oversee general liability and workers' compensation claims.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and safety regulations.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED with 5+ years in security/loss prevention.
  • OR Associate's degree in Criminal Justice or related field with 3+ years of experience.
Skills:
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle disputes and resolve conflicts professionally.
  • Proficiency in incident tracking and reporting systems.
Preferred Attributes:
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Experience in hospitality or resort environments.
  • Familiarity with Florida safety regulations and emergency protocols.
