Job Description

The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Prescott is seeking an innovative, student-centered, and strategically minded Assistant Director of Residence Life (ADRL) to lead a rapidly expanding residential program during an exciting period of institutional growth. The ADRL Shares in the responsibility for overall direction of a comprehensive Housing and Residence Life department.

With multiple new residential facilities coming online and the on-campus population projected to grow to 1,900 residential students next year, this role offers an exceptional opportunity to shape and elevate a thriving residential experience at a nationally recognized institution. The Assistant Director will oversee a current portfolio of 1,400+ beds, a talented team of four full-time professionals, and 40+ paraprofessional staff, with continued growth on the horizon.

The primary focus is on creating environments in the halls where residents and staff are able to thrive academically, professionally, and personally. The ADRL will accomplish these goals by exemplifying the department's core values of Customer Service, Connections, and Care, and is responsible for full-time and para-professional staff selection, training, and evaluation. The Assistant Director of Residence Life serves as a member to, and coordinates HRL's involvement in, the Behavioral Intervention Team, adjudicates high, medium, and low level University and Housing conduct.

Position Details:
This is a full-time, 12-month, live-off or live-on position with on-call responsibilities that plays a pivotal role in student experience and campus infrastructure planning. The ADRL will have the unique opportunity to influence residential culture, advance strategic initiatives, and help shape the next era of residential living at Embry-Riddle Prescott.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

- Master's degree - Student Affairs, Student Development, Counseling, Leadership, or similar

- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in student affairs.
- Strong organizational, technology, supervisory, and administrative skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of student development theory and leadership education.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across campus.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience as a student conduct officer
* Experience supervising full-time professional staff
* Experience with on-line management software (e.g. CampusGroups, Maxient, etc.)
* Involvement in local, state, and/or national professional student activities organization(s)
