Job Description




As a Security Officer - CRE Access Control in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will welcome tenants and visitors, manage entry points, verify credentials, and support lobby and perimeter patrols that help to deter security-related incidents. You will monitor alarms and cameras, complete detailed reports, and communicate clearly with property staff and first responders. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, property policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Control access to the property by verifying identification, authorizations, and/or access credentials, and directing individuals to appropriate check-in processes.
  • Operate access control systems such as key control, visitor management logs, and badge issuance procedures in accordance with site-specific instructions.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, loading areas, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity, and escalate concerns per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas and perimeter points, documenting observations and reporting maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
  • Complete required documentation such as access logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports with clear, timely, and accurate information.
  • Support Allied Universal and site leadership with special access needs such as deliveries, after-hours access requests, and temporary access changes while following site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
