Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Plant Patrol in Martin, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and deliver customer-focused support during day-to-day operations. Bring agility, reliability, and integrity to every shift while working with a caring team that puts people first.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to all personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, office spaces, parking areas, and the facility perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor and control access at designated entry points, including verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing visitors to authorized check-in areas.
  • Observe for and report suspicious behavior, unauthorized access attempts, and security-related hazards, and relay concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Perform security-related rounds of shipping and receiving areas, helping to identify unusual activity around docks, trailers, and delivery vehicles.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity reports, and shift logs with accurate times, locations, and actions taken.
  • Operate communications equipment and site systems as assigned, including radios, phones, and visitor management tools.
  • Assist with contractor and vendor processing by confirming authorization, communicating site rules, and routing to appropriate points of contact.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, including area checks, access control support, and coordination with local responders when requested.
  • Provide directions and general assistance to employees and visitors, maintaining a professional presence consistent with Allied Universal standards.
  • Follow post orders and site procedures while maintaining a visible presence that helps to deter unwanted activity.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
