As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Patrol Weekdays in DALLAS, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location as an armed patrol officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with calm professionalism. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, medical calls for service, and suspicious activity within a retail and mall location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floors, common areas, loading and receiving areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Maintain a high-visibility presence while performing armed duties in accordance with Allied Universal post orders, training standards, and all applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitor cameras, alarms, and access points where applicable, and initiate appropriate notifications and response actions per site procedures.
- Control access to restricted areas such as stockrooms, offices, and receiving areas, verifying authorization for employees, vendors, and contractors.
- Assist with shoplifting and fraud response by observing, documenting, and reporting suspicious behavior, and coordinating with store management and/or law enforcement as directed.
- Perform customer and employee escorts as requested, including escorts of closing staff and cash transfers when assigned by site procedures.
- Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation in a timely manner using written and/or electronic reporting tools.
- Support emergency operations during evacuations, severe weather, fire alarms, and other site emergencies by directing people to designated areas and relaying information to leadership.
- Communicate clearly with site leadership, retail management, and Allied Universal supervision regarding hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related trends noticed during patrols.
- Participate in daily briefings, comply with uniform and appearance standards, and maintain assigned equipment in serviceable condition, including proper care and secure storage when not in use.
Minimum Requirements: - Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
