Job Description




As a Security Officer - Factory Patrol Driver in Louisville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license, with patrols across the property and prompt response to alarms, access issues, and customer requests. Bring clear communication and a people-first mindset as you support an agile, reliable team that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazards.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or authorizations, following visitor management procedures, and directing traffic flow as needed.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, including patrol activity, incident documentation, and maintenance or hazard notifications, in accordance with post orders.
  • Monitor fixed posts and/or security-related systems as assigned, such as cameras, gates, and alarm panels, and report irregularities to site contacts.
  • Support emergency and abnormal condition response by assisting with evacuations, severe weather procedures, and coordination with responding personnel as directed by site-specific policies.
  • Maintain a professional presence and provide directions and assistance to employees, contractors, and delivery drivers while following all posted site rules and requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • EMT Certification is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • CPR Certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
