As a Security Officer - Flex Front Desk Driver in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a residential community, you will welcome residents and guests, manage access control and badging, answer questions, and document security-related activity with clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. You will represent an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first, works together, and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Staff the front desk and main lobby area, greeting and directing visitors, verifying identification and/or authorization, and issuing visitor credentials when applicable.
  • Monitor access points and building entry systems, helping to deter unauthorized entry and supporting orderly visitor flow.
  • Answer phones, radios, and intercoms; relay messages; and coordinate requests with property staff and/or maintenance as needed.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other building systems from the front desk; report irregular activity per post orders and escalation guidelines.
  • Maintain detailed logs of visitor activity, incidents, and shift events; complete reports and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation when appropriate and contacting emergency services when required.
  • Assist with package and key control processes per site procedures, including documentation of receipt, release, and/or handoff.
  • Provide directions and general information about the property, amenities, and site rules while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Support access control for contractors and service providers, confirming work orders and/or appointments when required by site policy.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
