As a Security Officer - Armed Bank Patrol in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support employees and members with professional customer service and clear communication. This is an armed post requiring an Armed Guard Card and/or License. You will document activities, respond to calls for assistance, and succeed with Allied Universal through teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Carry and maintain issued firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, licensing requirements, and post orders.
  • Monitor premises for unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized entry, theft, and/or disruptive behavior through high-visibility presence.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Control access for employees, visitors, vendors, and deliveries by verifying identification, logging entries, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical events, and/or fire-related conditions.
  • Observe and report security-related concerns such as damaged doors, unsecured points of entry, malfunctioning cameras, and/or lighting issues; notify appropriate contacts per post orders.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures as directed, including perimeter checks and verification of restricted areas.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities in written reports and/or electronic systems in a clear, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Coordinate with site management and local law enforcement when needed, preserving scene conditions and following reporting and escalation procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
