You will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with staff and guests. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at designated entry and exit points by screening visitors, verifying identification and/or appointment status, issuing visitor credentials when authorized and directing guests to appropriate areas.
  • Monitor employee and contractor entry by confirming authorization, following badge and/or credential procedures and reporting access discrepancies per site-specific policies.
  • Operate access control systems, visitor logs and related documentation, and complete required reports such as incident reports and shift activity logs.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Support customer and staff requests for assistance within scope of post orders, including providing directions, answering questions and coordinating with site personnel.
  • Observe activity in lobbies, corridors, ATM and transaction areas, parking areas and perimeter zones, and report suspicious activity to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, checking doors, gates and controlled areas for signs of unauthorized entry. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
  • Communicate clearly with Allied Universal leadership, site personnel and/or responding authorities by radio, phone and written reports to support timely resolution of security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
