Job Description




As a Security Officer - Petrochemical Dispatch Driver in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will coordinate security-related communications, track field activity, and support rapid response through clear radio, phone, and log updates. You will help keep operations running smoothly by monitoring systems, documenting incidents, and partnering with site teams with integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license in the job state, in an agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture at Allied Universal.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Monitor and dispatch communications using radios, telephones, and computer systems; relay accurate information to on-site personnel and/or outside resources as needed.
  • Receive, prioritize, and log calls for service, alarms, and operational requests; coordinate timely responses and maintain clear communication throughout the incident.
  • Monitor cameras, alarm panels, and access control systems; report irregular activity and escalate issues per post orders.
  • Support gate and access control operations by verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor instructions, and directing traffic flow when assigned.
  • Document incidents, dispatch actions, and shift activity in reports and logs with clear, detailed information for management review.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and chain of command.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as required by the post, with working environments and conditions that may vary by location.
  • Participate in drills and follow emergency protocols for events such as fire, medical situations, chemical releases, and severe weather, coordinating notifications as directed.
  • Use Allied Universal report writing tools and communication standards to support consistent documentation and shift turnover.
  • Maintain professional interactions with client representatives, first responders, and Allied Universal leadership; route requests and concerns to the appropriate party.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Applicants must have 2+ years' law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
