As a Security Officer - Distribution Site - Full Time in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols of buildings, yards, and access points, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with calm professionalism. You will document activity, communicate clearly with team members and site leaders, and deliver customer service that reflects our agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture built on teamwork and integrity. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse, yard, trailer areas, shipping and receiving docks, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Control access at vehicle and/or pedestrian entry points by checking identification, verifying visitor and contractor authorization, and directing traffic flow in accordance with site procedures.
- Perform routine foot and/or vehicle patrols of parking areas, exterior lighting areas, and building entrances, reporting maintenance and security-related concerns through the appropriate channels.
- Monitor and document activity such as inbound and outbound trucks, trailer seal checks as directed, and gate lane conditions, completing logs and reports per site requirements.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and security-related hazards, escalating concerns to supervision and/or site contacts as required.
- Operate security-related systems when assigned, such as CCTV, radios, and access control equipment, and communicate clearly with site personnel and Allied Universal management.
- Provide assistance with incident documentation, including preparing written reports and collecting relevant details for follow-up.
- Support site operations during peak shipping and receiving periods by maintaining post orders, directing visitors, and coordinating with site contacts to resolve access issues.
Minimum Requirements: - - Have at least 5+ years of security-related experience.
- - Be at least 21+ years of age.
- - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
