As a Security Officer - Armed Federal Patrol Driver in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government corrections location where you will perform armed patrols of assigned areas, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff and visitors through clear communication and strong customer service. This post requires an Armed Guard Card or License and a valid driver's license, with opportunities to conduct routine patrols on foot and/or by vehicle while living our agile, reliable, innovative, people-first, integrity-driven approach. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to site staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with Allied Universal post orders, applicable laws, and site requirements, including maintaining required certifications and following use of force and firearms handling guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Control access at entry points by checking identification, authorizations, and/or logs, and directing persons to appropriate locations while following site rules.
- Monitor cameras, alarms, radios, and/or other security-related systems, and report irregularities per procedure.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, scene control, and coordination with site leadership and/or responding public agencies as directed.
- Complete detailed reports of daily activity, incidents, and observations, and maintain accurate documentation in required systems.
- Enforce site rules regarding restricted areas and prohibited items, and assist with screening procedures when assigned, following post orders.
- Provide escort duties for authorized personnel and/or visitors through controlled areas as directed by site policy.
- Participate in roll call, briefings, and required training, and communicate post information to oncoming officers for continuity of operations.
Minimum Requirements: - - Possess an armed guard card/license.
- - Be at least 21 years of age.
- - A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- - Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- - Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- - A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
