Job Description




As a Security Guard - Patrol Driver Full-Time in Savannah, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed, driving patrol officer at an aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and support site procedures while delivering strong customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, contractors, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, hangars, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by verifying identification, authorizations, and/or visitor credentials in accordance with site procedures.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Perform rounds to check doors, gates, and restricted-area boundaries, and report maintenance issues and/or unusual conditions through the established reporting process.
  • Screen and route deliveries, service providers, and contractors to designated receiving areas, following site rules for inspections, documentation, and/or escorts.
  • Complete detailed shift reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Assist with badge checks and visitor processing, including sign-in and/or sign-out, issuing temporary credentials when authorized, and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
  • Support emergency procedures such as evacuations, severe weather actions, and medical response coordination as directed by site policy and/or local authorities.
  • Participate in required training and briefings, maintain a professional uniformed presence, and use de-escalation techniques when interacting with the public.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 1+ years of law enforcement experience OR 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years of security experience is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
