Hybrid: 2 days a week in Somerset, NJ office

As a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), you will serve as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to People Leaders across HearingLife, advancing the organization's vision of Helping More People Hear Better. This role is responsible for aligning business strategy with people strategy by delivering proactive, consultative HR solutions that drive performance, engagement, compliance, and organizational effectiveness.



Responsibilities

The Human Resources Business Partner plays a critical leadership role within the HR function by supporting assigned client groups across the enterprise. This position balances strategic partnership and hands-on execution, owning complex employee relations, performance management, talent initiatives, and change management efforts. The HRBP collaborates closely with HR Centers of Excellence (Talent, Total Rewards, HR Operations, Legal) to deliver consistent, scalable HR solutions.

Essential Job Functions:

Strategic Business Partnership

  • Partner with People Leaders to understand business objectives and translate them into effective people strategies
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on organizational design, workforce planning, talent development, and change initiatives
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations using HR metrics, trends, and analytics

Employee Relations & Performance Management

  • Lead and manage complex employee relations matters, including investigations, corrective action, and policy interpretation
  • Partner with leaders to address performance concerns, document performance issues, and implement performance improvement plans
  • Ensure consistent, fair, and compliant application of HR policies and employment practices

Talent & Organizational Development

  • Support enterprise talent initiatives including performance reviews, talent reviews, succession planning, promotions, and job changes
  • Partner with leaders to strengthen engagement, retention, and leadership effectiveness
  • Coach leaders on effective people management, communication, and conflict resolution

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations across assigned client groups
  • Partner with Legal and HR Leadership on risk mitigation, policy interpretation, and complex employment matters
  • Manage unemployment claims and support audits as needed

HR Operations & Systems Leadership

  • Provide oversight and guidance for HR processes including onboarding, terminations, internal offers, compensation changes, and acquisitions
  • Leverage HR systems (SuccessFactors, ADP) to ensure data integrity and support business needs
  • Partner with HR Operations on position management, payroll coordination, PTO, bonus programs, and reporting

Projects, Programs & Culture

  • Lead or participate in enterprise HR initiatives related to Team Member experience, engagement, diversity, and inclusion
  • Support the development, communication, and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Champion the consistent use of HR tools and resources across the organization


Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including significant employee relations and leadership support
  • HR Business Partner or equivalent consultative HR experience preferred
  • SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP or PHR / SPHR certification preferred
  • Experience supporting multi-site or geographically dispersed teams preferred
  • SuccessFactors and ADP experience strongly preferred.

Travel: Occasional travel may be required.

The salary range for this role is 80-85k/year plus bonus.
