Job Description The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Human Resources team is seeking a Recruiter who thrives on partnership, service, and collaboration. This role focuses on supporting hiring managers and search committees through a thoughtful, well-coordinated hiring process while building strong, trusted relationships across the University.

The HR Recruiter will serve as a primary point of contact and advisor for recruitment activities-guiding managers through best practices, ensuring a positive experience for candidates, and helping deliver consistent, high-quality hiring outcomes aligned with Embry-Riddle's mission and values.

This is an in-person position located at our Daytona Beach, FL campus.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted partner and primary support resource for hiring managers and search committees, providing guidance and consultation throughout the recruitment and selection process.
  • Manage and coordinate recruitment activities with a strong emphasis on communication, organization, and service to internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on University hiring procedures, best practices, and compliance requirements, ensuring searches are conducted consistently and effectively.
  • Review applications and resumes, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, facilitate feedback collection, and maintain clear, timely communication with all parties involved.
  • Support hiring managers with interview preparation, candidate evaluation methods, and selection decision-making to promote equitable and informed hiring outcomes.
  • Ensure a professional, positive candidate experience by maintaining ongoing communication, setting expectations, and supporting candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Build collaborative relationships across Human Resources and campus departments to ensure a seamless and supportive recruitment experience.
  • Assist with onboarding coordination to help new hires feel welcomed, prepared, and connected to Embry-Riddle's culture, values, and mission.
  • Partner with ERAU's creative team to develop and maintain clear, engaging recruitment and hiring materials that support managers and candidates.
  • Maintain organized documentation and tracking to support reporting, process improvement, and continuous enhancement of recruitment services.
  • In addition, this role will provide direct administrative and operational support to the Director of Recruiting and Compensation.

Qualifications Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing, service-oriented role supporting internal clients or stakeholders, with responsibility for managing processes, communications, and outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong working relationships through consultation, responsiveness, and clear communication.
  • Knowledge of best practices related to hiring processes, workforce support, or human resources operations, with the ability to apply guidance consistently and professionally.
  • Strong proficiency with web-based systems and tools used to manage workflows, documentation, and communication, such as applicant tracking systems, HR systems, or similar platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience supporting managers, committees, or teams in a higher education or similarly complex organizational environment.
  • Experience using Workday or another enterprise human resources or workflow management system.
