Location: Marlborough, MA - "The Recovery Connection" Peer Recovery Program

Schedule:

Shifts available

Monday-Wednesday-Friday 8:30AM-8PM

Tuesday Thursday Saturday 8:30AM-5:00PM

some nights and weekends may be required

Pay rate: $18.00-$19.00/hour

The Peer Coordinator is responsible for:



  • Recruiting volunteers for the Recovery Center and provides pre-service orientation and training to peer volunteers.
  • Working closely with peer volunteers to plan, implement and evaluate program activities.
  • Overseeing work performed by peer volunteers.
  • Helping facilitate volunteer committees.
  • Providing recovery coaching to participants.
  • Performing case management activities regarding initial housing, job search, medical services, insurance, social services, education, etc.
  • Coordinating continuing recovery referrals including scheduling of initial appointments.
  • Demonstrating cultural competency in working with participants, employees, referral agencies and others from diverse ethnicities, cultures and backgrounds.
  • Maintaining and preparing reports as directed.
  • Assisting with crisis management and other emergencies as needed.


Qualifications

Qualifications:



  • One year of experience in a substance abuse program preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
  • Must have excellent verbal, social and writing skills
  • Must display the use of appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies
  • Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting
