Security Officer - Warehouse Patrol

As a Security Officer - Shopping Center Patrol in Sparrows Point, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support store teams and guests with clear communication, quick assistance, and professional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor sales floor, entrances, exits, stock areas and/or common areas to help to deter theft, property damage and other policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and calling for additional support when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including interior spaces, exterior perimeter, parking areas and/or loading zones as assigned.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, rule violations, maintenance issues and/or hazards to the appropriate contacts.
• Control access to restricted areas by checking credentials, issuing visitor guidance and documenting entries and exits per site procedures.
• Complete incident reports, daily activity logs and other required documentation in a timely, accurate manner.
• Support store and mall operations by providing directions, answering questions and assisting with crowd flow during peak shopping periods and special events.
• Work with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when requested and in accordance with site procedures.
• Use communication systems and security-related equipment such as radios, cameras and alarm systems, and report malfunctions or concerns promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
