As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government human services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will observe and report unusual activity, assist staff and visitors with directions and questions, and communicate clearly with your team. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors at a government services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including verbal de-escalation, assistance with access concerns, and timely notification to site leadership and/or public responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances and key areas for unusual activity, report suspicious behavior and/or hazardous conditions, and follow site protocols for escalation.
• Control access in accordance with post orders by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in procedures, and directing guests to appropriate service areas.
• Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information during shift handoff.
• Operate site communication tools such as phones, radios, and/or monitoring systems as directed by post orders.
• Assist with crowd management, line control, and/or facility closures as needed to support orderly operations at a public-facing government location.
• Provide assistance to employees and members of the public with directions, general information, and coordination of services while maintaining professional boundaries.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
