As a Security Officer - University Patrol Driver in Fulton, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol campus areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls, assist staff, students, and visitors with clear communication and customer service, and document activities with attention to detail. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and assist with traffic flow during peak campus activity, special events, and/or after-hours operations in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbance calls, medical incidents, and/or fire and alarm activations, and coordinate with local responders as directed.
  • Observe, document, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or maintenance issues using required reporting tools and procedures.
  • Provide assistance with locating buildings, providing directions, and supporting authorized escorts as requested and permitted by site policy.
  • Operate and monitor campus security-related systems such as radios, key control processes, and/or camera systems when assigned.
  • Complete routine patrol logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs with clear, timely communication to supervisors and oncoming personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1+ years' law enforcement experience OR 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years' security experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
