Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a dedicated Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist to join the team. This role will be full-time 40 hours per week.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

* Performs psychosocial/physiologic assessments that integrate changing data as documented in procedure notes. Tailors and prioritizes caring practices to individual needs, including cultural/ethical/spiritual needs.

* Participates in the planning of routine transitional healthcare needs (e.g. treatment options). Responds to changes in patient needs and provides holistic care.

* Makes independent clinical decisions based on knowledge drawn from education and experience, as documented in procedure notes. Identifies variances from expected outcomes. Immediately recognizes and responds to adverse clinical situations and directs others to assist in a favorable patient outcome.

* Assists the healthcare team with the documentation process. Formulates a plan of care based on trends of similar patients.

* Acts as a clinical resource and serves as a mentor to health care team members while displaying leadership behaviors. Identifies own learning needs based on self-evaluation and the progress made from the previous year's goals.

* May Perform additional duties as assigned

Additional Requirements:

  • Education Graduate of an accredited school of nursing -OR graduate of an accredited School of Cardiovascular Technology -OR Radiology Technology or equivalent education and experience.

  • Certifications BLS with 90 days, ACLS within 90 days
