The Nurse Manager is a key member of the Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center Leadership Team who will provide day-to-day nursing oversight for the recovery center, PHP, and detox programs.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Direct and provide nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process; directly responsible to the Director of Nursing for quality patient care provided to patients in the Facility
• Responsible for the day-to-day operations of Nursing to enhance the quality of the patient care; provide sufficient staffing and schedule personnel according to census and acuity
• Respond to Codes and therapeutically intervene with the patient in crisis

Requirements

• Four years' employment as an RN in a psychiatric setting in positions of progressive responsibility and leadership
• At least two years in a supervisory and/or administrative role in a psychiatric setting
• Current license to practice nursing in VA (or eligible to receive or renew)
• Current CPR or BLS certification
• Valid driver's license required
