Professional Practice Assistant Professor Agricultural Machinery Technology Requisition ID: 2026-9821 # of Openings: 1 Location: US-UT-Logan Category: Faculty Position Type: Benefited Full-Time Job Classification: Faculty College: Quinney College of Agric & Nat Res Department: Applied Sciences Technology & Educ Advertised Salary: Commensurate with experience, plus excellent benefits Overview Utah State University is searching for a Professional Practice Assistant Professor in Agricultural Machinery to develop and teach courses related to production-based agricultural technology, including but not limited to forage and harvest equipment, planting and tillage equipment, off-road engines and power transmission, hydraulics, mechanized irrigation technology, welding, machinery management, refrigeration, electrical systems, robotics, and automation. This is a non-tenure-track teaching position with a 9-month appointment. The successful applicant will reside in the Department of Applied Sciences, Technology, and Education. The position will start August 1, 2026. This position will be approximately 95% teaching and 5% service. Responsibilities

Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including heavy lifting (50 pounds for a distance of 30 feet) and/or pushing and pulling of heavy objects. Employees must be prepared to stand for 3-5 hours and assume uncomfortable positions such as crawling, kneeling, and squatting. Additionally, the work environment can include confined or narrow spaces. Employees must adhere to safety precautions and may be required to use protective equipment.
