Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrols in Fayetteville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the facility. Your role includes responding to incidents, supporting access control, and providing outstanding customer service to staff, patients, and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor and report security-related irregularities, such as property damage, suspicious activity, and/or unauthorized persons on location.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related issues within the healthcare environment.
  • Assist patients, visitors, and staff with directions and information as needed while maintaining professionalism.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and local law enforcement as required.
  • Follow protocols for access control, visitor management, and/or emergency procedures specific to the healthcare location.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of all activities and incidents while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
