As a Security Officer - Flex Media Patrol in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned tech-focused locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with staff and visitors, and provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor for unusual activity or potential security-related risks, promptly reporting observations as required by site protocols.
  • Support access control procedures, verifying credentials and/or identification as needed.
  • Assist with crowd management and/or people flow during peak times or special events at the location.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal team members and on-site contacts to address security-related needs and provide updates as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
