THE OPPORTUNITY
Silvus is seeking a Sales Administrator Lead I who will report to the Sales Operations Manager. The successful individual in this role will be the primary point of contact for junior sales administrators supporting the full sales order lifecycle, customer inquiries, escalations, and team guidance. This position is also responsible for assisting and mentoring junior administrators, supporting the teams long-term goals, and partnering with management on operations and improvements to ensure smooth operations.

This position is based at Silvus Technologies' headquarters in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles, CA, and is on a hybrid schedule; a minimum of 3 days onsite per week is expected. On-site days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle complex and high-priority sales orders. Review and approve orders before they go out and oversee any changes or cancellations.

  • Respond to inquiries from large-account customers; jump in and support junior sales administrators when they encounter challenges.

  • Advise and mentor the junior staff to help them grow, address their questions, and offer constructive feedback, ensuring they feel supported. This includes individual meetings with the team members.

  • Proactively identify pain points, bring ideas to the table, and work with leadership to improve day-to-day operations.

  • Collaborate with the Sales Operations Manager to raise concerns and provide relevant information for improving strategic decisions.

  • Track team goals, maintain visibility on team performance, and provide support with planning and training.

  • Utilize CRM for reporting and help the team with effective and efficient usage.

  • Work cross-functionally with other departments to address concerns or blockers and follow up with updates or action items.

  • Support the team on other tasks or special projects as they arise.

  • Perform other related duties of which the above are representative.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or GED required.

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in sales administration or operations role.

  • Experience with mentoring/coaching teammates or leading training sessions.

  • Strong understanding of full sales order processing.

  • Experience with reviewing legal terms, terms and conditions, and managing complex sales orders.

  • Comfortable with handling escalations and acting as a point of contact for issues that arise.

  • A sense of urgency and flexibility in addressing urgent matters.

  • Good oral and written communication skills to address feedback and delegation of tasks.

  • High-level interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with customers.

  • Advanced experience with CRM systems (dashboard customization, reporting, etc.).

  • Familiarity with Silvus technology or the ability to quickly learn the basic systems to support order accuracy.

  • Ability to maintain organizational skills and balance multiple priorities.

  • Ability to create a supportive and inclusive work environment to allow others to feel comfortable speaking up and sharing ideas.

  • NOTE - Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.

  • All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Leadership experience or direct leadership of a team.

  • Experience leading team meetings.

  • Experience reviewing new tools or implementing process improvements.

COMPENSATION: $36 - $39 / hourly rate USD
