User Interface / User Experience (UI/UX) Developer

Peraton is looking for an experienced User Interface / User Experience (UI/UX) Developer to join our mission of creating Decision Advantage for the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM).

Location: Scott Air Force Base, IL

Role & Responsibilities:

This is a unique opportunity to make a direct impact on the way the Department of War projects and sustains its forces around the world.
• In this role, you will develop dashboards, user interfaces, maps, and other visualizations to transform data into actional information to provide leaders with time, space, and options in decision making.
• You will work to modernize the way USTRANSCOM operates and transform the command into a data-driven enterprise.
• Design and develop intuitive user interfaces to optimize the overall user experience.
• Create actionable and user-friendly dashboards, maps, and visualizations to help users consume information and make decisions.
• Work with data scientists and end users to refine usability and interface workflows.
• Advance the mission by connecting customers and their challenges with UI/UX solutions.
• Think creatively and challenge the state-of-the-art.
• Challenge and support teammates. Share ideas. Win together.
• Continuously improve the accuracy, speed, and efficacy of existing tools.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships to support USTRANSCOM.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years or relevant experience with a BS/BA; Minimum of 3 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 0 years with PhD.
• Experience with development and implementation of enterprise-level UI/UX solutions.
• Demonstrated creative thinker with a mission-minded focus.
• Possess a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to persist in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Active DoW Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of various machine learning methods including classification, regression, time-series forecasting, neural networks, deep learning, and artificial intelligence.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry.
• Experience with Python and/or PySpark.
