Good luck, and thank you again for applying! Job Summary The Senior Industrial Designer will set design direction for the products in our new business teams. The Senior Industrial Designer will set early concept direction, define consumer requirements with Product Management, develop 2D and 3D renderings of new products, and finalize product specs with cross-functional partners. Industrial design is critical to all phases from ideation to development to launch and will work closely with the entire business team and external partners to deliver a winning portfolio. Reporting to the General Manager, you will drive product design with Product Managers and Engineering for your business team. Serve as the thought leader on consumer design trends and competitive design benchmarks to keep our business on the leading edge of design in our industry. Duties and Responsibilities * Generate initial product concepts and 2D designs * Drive and Coordinate activities with external partners from long term exploration work to specific product modeling * Guide assembly and packaging choices for consumer and cost requirements * Review and approve prototypes * Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to optimize visual ID, manufacturing processes and cost target requirements * Collaborate with Brand and Product Management on packaging, graphics, and materials * Deliver final product designs in software for cross-functional development * Develop multi-year roadmaps with Product Management to meet brand and business objectives * Other duties as deemed necessary. Qualification Requirements Minimum Education: BA/BS degree in related field Minimum Work Experience: 10+ years of combined experience in Industrial Design and Product Development, or related Design field. License(s) / Certification(s): N/A Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Spatial skills for 2D and 3D visualization * Creative and innovative thinking * Self-starter and self-directed * Perseverance and resiliency * Collaborative and agile team player * Strong communication skills * Understanding of design software * Ability to work in a constant state of alertness * Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers * Ability to have regular and predictable attendance Physical Requirements Represents the appropriate physical requirements of the job in the course of the work.
