Position Summary

The Associate Director/ Director of Marketing Operations will lead the operational, financial, and executional backbone of the Marketing organization. The Associate Director/ Director will oversee the full marketing operations infrastructure, including budget governance, congress strategy and execution, Promotional Review Committee (PRC) process leadership, vendor management, and cross-functional coordination to ensure disciplined, compliant, and industry-leading operational excellence. The Associate Director/ Director will serve as a key partner to Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Legal, and Finance & Accounting, driving processes that enhance efficiency, elevate execution quality, and support the successful commercialization of Rytelo and future pipeline assets. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role requiring strong strategic thinking, operational leadership, and the ability to build scalable systems in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving biotechnology environment.

This position is remote with a corporate headquarters in Foster City, and Parsippany, NY. The Associate Director/ Director will report to the Vice President, Marketing.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight of the marketing budget, ensuring proactive planning, accurate forecasting, and disciplined financial stewardship across all programs
  • Partner with Finance and Procurement to strengthen financial governance, optimize resource allocation, and ensure timely, compliant processing of all spend
  • Establish and manage budget dashboards and performance reporting; provide insights and recommendations to marketing leadership to guide investment decisions
  • Lead end-to-end strategy, planning, and operational execution of major medical congress activities, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and cross-functional priorities
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Sales, and external partners to deliver seamless, innovative, and compliant congress experiences
  • Oversee congress infrastructure, including booth design, materials, logistics, shipments, and onsite operations with accountability for execution excellence
  • Provide strategic input on sponsorships, satellite symposia, and third-party congress activations to maximize scientific and commercial impact
  • Serve as the strategic and operational lead for the PRC process, driving efficiency, governance, and consistency across all promotional review activities
  • Own end-to-end workflow management, including submission strategy, timeline oversight, version control, approval routing, and documentation standards
  • Ensure marketing materials meet the highest standards of regulatory, legal, and medical compliance while enabling timely speed-to-market
  • Act as a key liaison to Regulatory, Legal, Medical Affairs, and Compliance to anticipate issues, resolve challenges, and strengthen cross-functional trust
  • Build and enhance marketing operational infrastructure, including content management systems, asset libraries, lifecycle controls, and SOPs

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, life sciences, or related field required
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing operations, sales operations, commercial operations, project management, or congress management, in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
  • Demonstrated budget management experience

Salary Statement:

Offered compensation is determined based on market data, internal equity, and an applicant's relevant skills, experience, and educational background.

General Salary Range: Associate Director: $170,000 to $190,000/ Director: $220,000 to $245,000
