Title: Construction Quality Control Supervisor



Responsibilities

    Plans and coordinates site facilities, safety equipment, and temporary installations per U.S. regulations and client requirements; assists the Site Manager.
  • Supports delivery planning for SKID units and equipment, ensuring quality requirements are met.
  • Prepares for and coordinates 3rd party inspections, accompanies inspectors, provides documentation, and guides them through inspection areas.
  • Liaises with subcontractors to ensure inspection readiness and resolves related issues.
  • Identifies and addresses quality issues with partners to ensure compliance and smooth progress.
  • Reviews site conditions and progress against schedule, coordinates with contractors, and implements corrective actions as needed.
  • Manages activities per company quality standards, ensuring proper documentation and quality record collection.
  • Monitors construction using P&ID and piping drawings, verifies installations, and reports discrepancies to the Site Manager.
  • Attends meetings with clients and contractors, communicates quality requirements, and incorporates them into site activities.
  • Work Location: On-site at the project office, 5 days/week.
  • Travel: ~10% to project sites outside Arizona.

Other Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepares weekly reports documenting progress and issues, and submits them to the Site Manager.
  • Seeks continuous improvement by identifying more efficient and cost-effective work processes.
  • Reviews and provides advice on management issues related to site activities, in coordination with the Site Manager.
  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned by the Site Manager.
  • Maintains high ethical standards and complies with company policies and site rules.
  • Reports all irregular issues and problems to the Site Manager and assists in finding solutions.
  • Maintains effective communication with the Site Manager, office staff, and external partners.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures.
  • Ensures the working area is kept clean and safe, and enforces housekeeping standards on site.
  • Promptly reports to the Site Manager any issues affecting schedules, milestones, safety, health, costs, or unforeseen problems, and seeks guidance as needed.


Qualifications

  • Experience in quality control or inspection for construction projects, preferably in water treatment systems, industrial facilities, or large-scale piping works.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems (such as ISO 9001) and experience in preparing and managing quality documentation.
  • Experience conducting inspections, tests, and reporting non-conformities during construction.
  • 3 or more years of relevant experience in construction quality control or inspection.

Tools & Equipment

  • General office equipment including personal computers, printers, and network file shares.
  • Software: Windows OS; MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience using quality control management software or digital inspection tools is preferred.
  • Ability to prepare, manage, and report quality documentation (e.g., inspection records, checklists, non-conformance reports).
  • Familiarity with field coordination tools (e.g., daily logs, mobile site applications) is preferred.
  • Ability to view and interpret engineering drawings to verify construction quality; drafting is not required.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with subcontractors, design firms, and site teams regarding quality issues.

Certificates/Licenses

  • Valid Driver's License.
  • OSHA 30-Hour (Construction) and OSHA 510 (Construction) required, or willingness to obtain after hire.
  • Preferred: Certification in quality management or inspection (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), ISO 9001 Internal Auditor, or equivalent).
  • Specialized safety training (e.g., HAZOPER, ESS, NFPA 70E) is preferred.
  • Preferred: Possession of a valid Arizona aerial work platform operator license (e.g., boom lift, scissor lift), or a proactive willingness to obtain this certification promptly after hire.
  • Experience with quality inspection or quality assurance processes in construction is an advantage.
