Summary:

The Human Resources Manager provides full scope generalist support and plays a key role with business leaders on all aspects of people management, employee relations, and culture. The HR Manager acts as an advisor, partner and change agent to business leaders and managers on HR strategy, leadership and business issues for a wide variety of activities including, but not limited to, organizational change, talent acquisition, leadership development, employee relations, total rewards and performance management.


Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides expertise and guidance to leaders on performance management, leadership development, employee relations, and talent management and takes a solutions-oriented approach to resolving people and business challenges.
  • Manages employee relations issues and conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations; recommends appropriate actions to resolve issues.
  • Researches, analyzes, and responds to employee/manager questions and issues regarding HR policies.
  • Supports DE&I strategy and collaborates closely with leaders to drive strategy, execution; identifies areas to embed DE&I in business operations.
  • Partners with the Sr. Director, HRBP on organization design and succession planning.
  • Supports change management processes with business leaders including analysis of needs, development of change management plans, implementation and execution of plans, and the review and reporting of results.
  • Partners with management and employees to improve working relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Supports annual merit, bonus, and equity programs with leaders.
  • Supports Talent Acquisition by reviewing and maintaining accurate job descriptions for all client groups, working with Head of Total Rewards to benchmark roles, interviewing candidates, and managing internal and external offers; supports on-boarding of new hires.
  • Monitors turnover and manages exit interview process and trends for client group.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance; partners with legal department and outside counsel, as required.
  • Ensures compliance with Affirmative Action, Code of Conduct policy and other HR regulations in accordance with state and federal employment law.
  • Partners closely with Commercial L&D on new hire training and other training initiatives.
  • Works collaboratively as a member of the HR team and drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and support special projects, as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.


Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university. Advanced degree in HR Management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Human Resources management/generalist role, in pharmaceutical or biotech preferred. Prior experience supporting a sales organization preferred.
  • HRCI or SHRM certification a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven track record of building strong relationships with business leaders at every level in the organization
  • Prior experience conducting internal investigations and resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • Excellent written and oral English communications skills; demonstrated ability to communicate with employees at all level of the organization.
  • Excellent presentation skills to groups of all sizes and levels in the organization
  • Demonstrated thorough knowledge of human resource disciplines including compensation practices, talent management, employee relations, recruitment and retention, employee development, diversity and inclusion, and performance management; knowledge of the following areas a plus: payroll, benefits, and HRIS.
  • Current knowledge and understanding of federal and state employment laws/regulations including but not limited to EEOC, FLSA, FMLA, ADA and OSHA
  • Demonstrated commitment to working within boundaries of all state and federal laws and regulations as well as to corporate values.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office product suite
  • Semi-monthly overnight travel, sometimes with short notice

Pay Transparency

The base pay range for this role is $113,000 annually to $155,000 annually.
The range is what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. The range considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: geographic markets, business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and certifications.
