| Primary Function of Organizational Unit |
The
NCCU Department of Athletics' primary purpose is to provide leadership for an
NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletics program. The
NCCU Department of Athletics places the highest priority on a quality academic and athletic experience as part of the overall education of student-athletes. The Department of Athletics seeks to strengthen the integration of the athletics program objectives with academic development objectives. |
| Primary Purpose of Position |
This position will assist the Head Football Coach in the conduction of the men's intercollegiate football program. The coach will be responsible for the recruitment, retention, academic and personal development of the student athletes. |
| Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
Candidate must demonstrate potential to teach, lead and counsel college student-athletes. |

Bachelor Degree; Previous college playing and/or coaching experience at the college or high school level. |

TEACHING &
COACHING:
Assisting the Head Coach with the overall supervision, organization, development and implementation of NC Central's Division I Football Program. Instruct, teach and coach student-athletes during practice and competition. Responsible for following
NCAA,
MEAC and NC Central University rules, regulations and policies
* Conduct video analysis and instruction as a teaching and preparation tool.
* Direct the practice, individual workouts and scouting preparation as requested.
* Provide input to the head coach and his staff on practice and/or gameday strategy. |

RECRUITMENT:
Identify and recruit potential team members to
NCCU, recording transactions in JumpForward or similar university provided recruiting software.
