As VP Commercial Strategy & Enablement, you will define and execute our global commercial strategy, reporting directly to the EVP, Global Commercial Operations. You'll lead a high-impact team focused on market insights, commercial excellence, and strategic planning, ensuring strong alignment between corporate objectives and regional execution.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Strategic Planning & Market Development: Lead multi-year commercial strategy, identify new market opportunities, guide portfolio and pricing decisions, and support M&A integration.
  • Commercial Excellence & Go-to-Market Optimization: Design and implement initiatives to enhance sales productivity, standardize global commercial processes, and strengthen digital selling and CRM adoption.
  • Business Analytics & Insight: Deliver actionable insights from market data, sales performance, and customer behavior. Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor effectiveness and customer experience.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with leaders across regions, marketing, finance, operations, and R&D. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and represent Commercial Operations in executive forums.
  • CRM Roadmap: Develop and execute a three-year Salesforce strategy, including technology, process, and training.
  • Sales Enablement: Align sales and marketing teams, define objectives and KPIs, onboard new hires, integrate technology, and provide ongoing training and support.
  • Global Pricing & Incentives: Optimize pricing strategies, develop sales incentive compensation plans, and support annual operating plan development.

  • Translate strategy into revenue execution: Convert enterprise strategy into clear commercial priorities, operating models, and field enablement that accelerate growth across regions and channels.
  • Drive commercial excellence at scale: Build standardized yet flexible frameworks for sales effectiveness, pricing, incentives, and forecasting-improving productivity, predictability, and ROI.
  • Enable data-driven decision making: Embed analytics, CRM, and performance dashboards that give leaders and field teams real-time insight into customers, pipeline, and execution gaps.
  • Accelerate launches and portfolio impact: Lead end-to-end launch readiness and lifecycle optimization, aligning marketing, sales, market access, and operations to maximize speed and uptake.
  • Align people, capabilities, and culture: Strengthen commercial talent, skills, and accountability through targeted enablement, governance, and change leadership-turning strategy into sustained performance.


What You Bring:



  • Education: Master's degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 15+ years of progressive commercial leadership in life sciences, diagnostics, or medical technology. Proven success in global strategy execution and commercial transformation.
  • Skills: Strategic and analytical thinker, expert in pricing and go-to-market models, strong leadership and change management, exceptional communication, and deep understanding of CRM, CLM, CPQ, and AI.


Location:

This position must be based in Hercules, CA and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $270,000 to $372,000 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
