RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Lead CT Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Lead Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, you will be responsible for providing leadership and supervision to technologists in assigned modality. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide CT services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(80%) Patient CT Imaging



  1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
  2. Explains and prepares patients for CT imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
  3. Performs routine and advanced CT imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
  4. Adjusts CT scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate
  5. Maintains positive attitude and working relationships with radiologist, referring customers and other associates and peers
  6. Follows physicians' orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations to protect yourself, your patients, and coworkers
  7. Accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
  8. Maintains an orderly and clean work area promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers
  9. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
  10. Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
  11. Ensures compliance with all HIPAA guidelines


(15%) Team Leadership



  1. Assists in the hiring process for new team members
  2. Coordinates the training and onboarding of new team member
  3. Leads regular team meetings and team member one-on-ones
  4. Monitors and approves timecards
  5. Initiates and participates in performance reviews, development, and performance management of team members
  6. Develops team members schedules to provide for planned time off, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and adequate coverage
  7. Evaluates workflow and implements process improvements for the team
  8. Ensures team has knowledge of company and department policies and corresponding procedures are in place
  9. Supports associates ensuring highest level of patient satisfaction
  10. Leads special projects and/or committees, as assigned
  11. Manages other departments in the absence of manager or peers and coordinates schedule to ensure appropriate coverage


(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Required:



  1. Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
  2. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
  3. ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
  4. Certified in imaging specialty
  5. Four (4) years' imaging experience
  6. One (1) year working as a resource/mentoring to others and identify and implementing process improvement opportunities
  7. Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
  8. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  9. Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform advanced CT procedures independently with highest quality
  10. Certification in imaging specialty


Preferred:



  1. Bilingual
  2. Works in multiple modalities and/or has multi-modality certifications
  3. Prior supervisory or leadership experience
