Summary of Position

Kinsley is seeking an experienced and driven Utility Foreman for our growing team. Based out of our Ephrata, PA Office, the Utility Foreman will work on project sites in and around Lancaster and Berks County, PA. The Utility Foreman is responsible for managing a utilities crew, maintaining daily schedules and following best practices.

A successful candidate should possess 2-3 years of applicable field leadership experience and have knowledge in all areas of underground utility construction.

Typical Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • Effectively lead, manage and motivate crews of 5 to 6 individuals.
  • Interpret job specifications and details.
  • Plan and schedule for necessary manpower, tools, materials and equipment needed to complete the job.
  • Responsible for completing daily timesheets and maintaining daily logs.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of all areas of underground utility construction, replacement and installation.
  • Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of previous field leadership experience.
  • Natural Gas experience is a plus but not necessary.
  • Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs and moving whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling of materials.
  • Cooperate with division leadership and understand individual job needs.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
  • Valid PA driver's license and reliable transportation required.
