Summary of the Job:

The Analyst II, Finance is responsible for accounting, performing financial reporting, and completing analysis of assigned business units. This role will partner with business unit managers and the finance team to prepare and review operating budgets, forecasts, monthly financials, and performance analysis. This may include, but is not limited to monthly journal entries, reconciliations, income and expense analysis, loan and deposit review, business unit and regulatory reporting, and ad-hoc analysis requests. This position is part of the Business Segment Finance team. As part of the Business Segment Finance team, this position will work closely with the business line managers and be actively involved in day-to-day finance activities and other ad hoc analysis projects focused on driving profitability and focused on actioning data.

About This Role:

The successful candidate is a self-starter who can design, plan, and execute on preparing reports ensuring accurate, timely, and actionable financial reporting. Additional responsibilities and accountabilities include:

  • Develop and maintain competency within the bank's financial systems to facilitate segment and business unit specific reporting and analysis
  • Demonstrates a proven track record in retrieving data from multiple sources and able to effectively utilize/analyze this data and display it in a meaningful way to management.
  • Develop, prepare, and improve financial reporting to assist in the ongoing management and evaluation of the business
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly reporting, supporting processes and variance analysis
  • Perform processes and reporting that include vendor payments, T&E processing, GL account reconciliation, and journal entries
  • Work with business unit managers for analysis of business and business products, preparation of forecasts and budgets
  • Demonstrates adaptability in adjusting analysis, reporting, and forecasting to accommodate the changing business dynamics/products
  • Demonstrates ability to work with cross-functional teams to complete tasks and improve efficiencies
  • Continuously identify opportunities for increased efficiency/accuracy
  • Identify other areas to leverage information

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years of financial analyst experience
  • 1-3 years budget/forecasting experience
  • Ability to work in large and medium sized project teams, as self-directed contributor with a proven track record of being detail orientated, innovative, creative, and strategic
  • Exhibit professional behavior and promote positive working relationships. Maintain regular and predictable attendance in alignment with departmental/divisional policy
  • Compliance: Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. Complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls, as required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and Adobe required

Desired:

  • Analytical experience and/or aptitude
  • Ability to work with large amounts of data highly desired
  • Interest in financial services and commercial banking
  • Experience with PowerBI, Business Objects, Access or other reporting tools.

Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $62,047.00-$102,377.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.

Work Environment:

It is anticipated that the incumbent in this role will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in-person collaboration three (3) days a week with remote flexibility two (2) days a week. As part of our team, you'll experience the energy and relationship-building of face-to-face collaboration while still enjoying the flexibility of remote workdays. We provide the tools and technology to ensure seamless transitions between work environments, supporting your productivity wherever you are. Please note that work location is subject to change based on business needs.
