We are seeking a dynamic Production Scheduler at our interior door manufacturing facility in North Platte, NE. Producing between 5500-5750 doors daily, this role is pivotal in ensuring seamless production flow throughout the plant.

The Production Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling incoming customer orders to ensure efficient alignment with the plant's manufacturing processes. This role manages daily order status reporting for external stakeholders, tracks and reschedules back orders promptly, and generates internal reports to support production planning. Additionally, the position compiles daily performance metrics and submits progress updates to the Supply Chain Lead. The Production Scheduler will report directly to the sites Supply Chain Lead.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Process and manage customer orders from daily lists received via email from the Customer Associate.
  • Ensure production lists are prepared in advance to prevent gaps between scheduled plans and actual floor production.
  • Review and validate customer orders to identify and resolve discrepancies prior to scheduling.
  • Generate and incorporate back orders into daily scheduling lists, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assess material availability to confirm manufacturing capability for fulfilling backorders.
  • Prepare and maintain backorder reports for tracking and analysis.
  • Enter customer orders into Masterpack ERP to evaluate truck weight and door quantity limitations for proposed schedules.
  • Route orders systematically through the Masterpack ERP module to appropriate plant production lines.
  • Organize door types and sizes to optimize production line efficiency and press utilization.
  • Balance production quantities across lines based on historical labor efficiency metrics.
  • Generate production floor material lists from Masterpack ERP for scheduled manufacturing.
  • Process late production tickets promptly to minimize delays.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service to ensure timely order revisions and resolve inquiries.
  • Investigate and respond to customer order questions received via email from Customer Service.
  • Maintain organized filing of scheduled customer orders for reference by plant leadership and production teams.
  • Prepare shipping summaries of scheduled orders for reporting purposes.
  • Compile performance metrics and goal progress for quarterly submission to the Supply Chain Lead.
  • Serve as backup for the Customer Associate position during absences, performing all associated duties.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Supply Chain Lead.



Qualifications:

Education



  • Prior production scheduling experience preferred.



Certifications



  • Not applicable.



Experience



  • Strong background in collaborative planning, forecasting, and replenishment (CPFR) and customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of door components and door assembly process.
  • Experience with production scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with Kaizen, 5-S, and wood product manufacturing preferred.
