Maintenance Specialist 2 (FR3284)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Maintenance Specialist 2 acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks. They perform a range of Maintenance duties in the building and plant. They support the facility team on projects to include but not limited to, mechanical, hydraulic, electric, and electronic devices. These assignments are performed under close supervision of the facility's supervisor/manager and normally follow established procedures on routine work and requires instructions only on new assignments. The Maintenance Specialist 2 works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice. They may work with outside vendors and will be closely involved in P5S activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  1. Reports directly to Maintenance Supervisor, may take direction from production management and/or Maintenance mechanic.
  2. Troubleshoots all process and facilities related equipment regarding electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical problems.
  3. Assists with all monthly maintenance for all production and facilities equipment when requested.
  4. Maintains all office and administrative maintenance requests in SAP and Outlook.
  5. Performs 5S activities as required daily, weekly, and monthly.
  6. Works in cooperation with other Managers, Engineers, and departmental supervisors on ensuring all equipment is maintained and operational.
  7. Reports any safety problem immediately.
  8. Willingness and open to learn new tasks.
  9. Willing to work on a variety of machines or lines.
  10. All other duties as assigned.


Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

This position generally works standard business hours; however, additional hours, including weekends and holidays, may be required at times. All overtime will be paid in compliance with applicable California wage and hour laws.
