NXE FLS Production Engineer (1st Shift)

Job Mission

This position is responsible for providing first-line troubleshooting support to ensure uninterrupted production output. This role requires hands-on troubleshooting of production issues, escalating issues when necessary, and driving continuous improvement through documentation, analysis, and collaboration.this position hasan understandingof product SPC (Statistical Process Control), manages disturbance notifications, and works with the internal FLS and Production teams to support Material (MN) and Disturbance (DN) review boards, ensuring optimal product flow and minimal disruptions. This role is generally responsible for one work center.

Core Responsibilities

Production Support & Troubleshooting

  • Spend approximately 75% of time in the Cleanroom supporting production processes and leading troubleshooting actions.

  • Provide real-time troubleshooting for mechanical assemblies and production issues to minimize downtime and optimize output.

  • Accurately document all disturbances and resolutions for future reference and continuous improvement.

  • Escalate unresolved issues to senior FLS engineers and capture learnings to enhance OCAPs (Out of Control Action Plans).

  • Ability to use cleaning solvents safely, per EHS guidelines, to troubleshoot and remove product contamination

  • Evaluate and disposition failed parts with proposed solutions

  • The employee is required to work in a cleanroom environment:

    • full gowning (full body coveralls, hood, CR safety shoes, face mask, nitrile gloves and safety glasses. Working under ISO 9000/14000 standards).

    • Working around overhead cranes, fork trucks and motorized pallet movers.

    • Working with or around lasers; working with ladders; working on platforms; and working around chemicals for cleaning and bonding

Escalation Management & Technical Documentation

  • Create and maintain ETPs (Engineering Test Plans), task lists, and DOs (Disturbance Orders) for escalation management, tooling maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • Investigate recurring issues to advance problem resolution and improve processes.

SPC Tracking & Process Control

  • Support and maintain SPC (Statistical Process Control) tracking for tooling and products to ensure data-driven process control.

Cross-Team Collaboration & Quality Assurance

  • Represent Factory Engineering in cross-functional efforts, executing "As New" processes based on D&E/Module PE input.

  • Perform part selection ("cherry picks") for quality and process validation and create ODRs for non-structural issues.

Education & Work Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics engineering with 2 internships in a technical production environment
