Position Overview

This role will be on-site in Shackelford County, TX with 25% travel for events and stakeholder meetings.

As a Community Engagement Specialist, you will implement Vantage's community engagement strategy Central North America region, primarily in Wisconsin. This role will support relationship-building, program execution, and local partner engagement that aligns with Vantage's values-Trust, Accountability, Respect, and Agility-and gives to the long-term success of our projects and partnerships. You'll work closely with colleagues in the Public Policy, Legal, Construction, New Site Development, People & Culture, Sustainability, and Operations teams to help find opportunities for impact, elevate community voices, and position Vantage as a good corporate citizen across all stages of the data center lifecycle.

Essential Job Functions

  • Support execution of Vantage's North American community engagement strategy, applying innovative thinking and strong problem-solving skills locally in partnership with internal collaborators and external partners.

  • Coordinate and lead local engagement efforts-such as community events, workforce development partnerships, sponsorships, volunteer initiatives, and site-based programs, driving continuous improvement and creative solutions to strengthen community impact.

  • Develop and maintain a stakeholder map of nonprofit organizations, schools, chambers, local officials, and workforce boards in key markets identifying new opportunities and innovative partnerships

  • Help prioritize and attend community-facing meetings and events; collect key takeaways, support follow-ups, and supervise progress.

  • Maintain accurate and timely records of engagement efforts, outcomes, and key performance indicators; ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws; assist with reporting and presentations for internal and external audiences.

  • Supervise regional community and partner sentiment in both new and existing markets; flag potential opportunities or concerns.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Public Policy, and Operations to ensure messaging and execution are aligned across teams.

  • Handle additional duties as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in community engagement, partner relations, nonprofit partnerships, or public affairs.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including writing and public speaking, with a proven track record to build trust across multifaceted communities; a natural relationship builder.

  • Organized, detailed, and capable of running multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Collaborative approach and ability to work across departments and regions.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project tracking tools; experience with CRM or impact reporting tools a plus.

  • Flexibility to travel for site visits, events, or partner meetings as needed (anticipated up to 25%).

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in public Affairs, Communications, Political Science, or a related field.

  • Preferred: Experience supporting community programs in regulated industries, capital-intensive sectors, or infrastructure development.

  • Preferred: Comfort navigating both grassroots and executive-level engagement.

Additional Details

  • Salary Range: $95,000 - $115,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)

  • This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.

  • Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
