The College of Medicine-Phoenix - Department of Radiology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix, under the leadership of the Dept Chair, seeks a highly motivated Program Manager to support strategic research and operational initiatives in academic radiology. The Program Manager will coordinate and advance projects involving cardiovascular imaging, artificial intelligence (AI) applications, clinical research, data analysis, and academic publications. The position requires collaboration across Banner - University Medical Center Phoenix, the University of Arizona, and external academic and industry partners. | Duties & Responsibilities |
Implementation & Coordination:
- Coordinate multidisciplinary research and quality improvement projects within the Department of Radiology.
- Provide day to day operational oversight of the departmental research activities.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication between faculty investigators, residents, data scientists, and external collaborators.
- Organize and track progress of imaging and informatics initiatives.
- Assist in preparation of manuscripts, abstracts, and scientific presentations (RSNA, AUR, etc.).
- Provide data management and statistical support using tools such as Excel and SPSS.
- Ensure quality and timely submission of data across projects.
- Maintain documentation and project dashboards to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Contribute to departmental academic productivity through research coordination and writing support.
Project Planning & Design:
- Participate in evaluation of new project requests to assess feasibility of proposed resource allocation and clinical needs.
- Develop project plans that align with grant objectives and requirements.
- Define project scope, tasks, timelines, and resources.
- Planning, designing, and review of study specific budget and documentation needs, team effort and hospital resources, establishing priorities and recommending schedules, timetables and costs.
- Support regulatory and compliance submissions (IRB, data use agreements, etc submission process for new studies, facilitating research determination, interdisciplinary reviews and status tracking of department study portfolio in regulatory review.
Grant Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure all project deliverables are completed and all grant requirements are met.
- Understanding and adhering to all grant regulations and reporting requirements.
- Preparing and submitting timely and accurate reports to the grantor.
- Preparing a final project report and closing out the grant.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical information to audiences of varying understanding.
- Ability to work proactively and efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Strength with analytical tasks.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and SPSS software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to interact professionally and effectively.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Three (3) years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Experience in radiology research or clinical project management.
- Prior research fellowship or professional experience in a major academic radiology department.
- Demonstrated record of peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and contributions to imaging research.
