Role and Responsibilities

A Facilities Maintenance Technician here at Advanced Plating Technologies performs skilled repairs, PMs, and general upkeep on buildings, grounds, and systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical). Plus, general building upkeep like lighting, filters, greasing motors and stackers, and safety compliance, all while documenting work and responding promptly to repair requests.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:

  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and testing of critical systems (HVAC units, rectifiers, fire & security alarms, boilers, water softener, cameras) to identify and address issues before they cause disruptions.
  • System Repairs: Troubleshoot and repair plumbing (leaks, clogs), electrical (lighting, switches, outlets), and mechanical systems.
  • General Upkeep: Handle minor carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs, as well as groundskeeping tasks like snow removal or landscaping when needed.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to OSHA regulations, NFPA standards, and local building codes to ensure a hazard-free workplace.



Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in skilled trades, including basic mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work.
  • Problem-Solving: The ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions for equipment failures.
  • Communication: Clear verbal and written skills for reporting issues, coordinating with vendors, and interacting with staff or guests.
  • Certifications: Fork Lift Training



Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs regularly (and occasionally more with assistance).


  • Comfort working on ladders, lifts, or roofs, and in confined or cramped spaces.
  • Capacity to stand, walk, bend, or stoop for extended periods in various weather and temperature conditions.
  • Availability for emergency on-call rotations, weekends, or after-hours work as needed.
