JOB SUMMARY: Engineering projects to provide better value. Conduct test programs, devise new changes or processes, monitor, and improve quality and productivity.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


1. Supervise the production of products to meet customer requirements and internal process requirements.


2. Conduct studies that correlate performance of Plascore products under various process conditions.


3. Assist in the design and performing of various experiments on the product line to improve quality and consistency of the products.


4. Assist mechanical designers to design improvements on the exiting equipment or build new equipment.


5. Contact suppliers regarding availability and technical performance of components and raw materials.


6. Work with other engineers in problem-solving teams and quality related design issues.


7. Assist in the documentation generation and control of drawings and tooling, manufacturing instruction, preventative maintenance procedure, engineering reports, etc.


8. Assist in the evaluation of new technology and devising of new machines, methods, and processes to improve profitability, quality, cycle time and safety.


9. Assist in the optimization of assets as far as space requirements, time planning and value distribution to improve product yields, reduce scrap, reduce direct man-hours consumed per unit of product.


10. Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment, and methods.


11. Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.


12. Handle internal and external questions in a prompt professional manner.


13. Continually look for ways to improve job efficiency and performance.


14. Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Benefits

Qualifications:


The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or comparable degree



  • 0-3 experience in design/build of equipment and fixtures, design of automation, and hands on experience in taking projects from start to finish
  • Must have graduated internship in Engineering
  • Must have architectural design experience
  • Must be able to work well independently and be self-directed
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good math and analytical skills
  • Experience supporting ISO9000, AS9100 and ISO 14001 initiatives


Additional Requirements:



  • Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations). Therefore, candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident ('Green Card')
