Civil Engineer, Water Resources, San Antonio, TX Halff has an opening for an experienced Professional Civil Engineer to join our Water Resources team in San Antonio, TX. The candidate must be able to successfully work on projects and work closely with our internal and external clients, perform flood risk education and planning, flood infrastructure planning, and design for private and public stormwater infrastructure. Halff is seeking a skilled professional to work in a highly collaborative environment to create cost-effective, maintainable, and sustainable solutions for municipalities, governmental agencies and developers. What you will do:
- Support project teams in the design and analysis of water resources design projects.
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analysis.
- Assist in the development of master drainage plans.
- Prepare and review engineering documents and reports.
- Prepare and review plans, specifications and bid documents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.
What you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering Degree
- At least 4 years of experience in water resources/public works. Resume projects should attempt to demonstrate experience in channels design, storm drain analysis and design, watershed modeling, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and master drainage planning
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in the state of Texas
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD Civil 3D or Bentley OpenRoads Designer)
- Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ArcGIS Pro
- Familiarity with XP-SWMM, InfoWorks ICM
- Robust written and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude, self-directed yet a team player, with a focus on quality, integrity and success
