Required Qualifications:
* A doctoral degree in mathematics education, or equivalent
* At least 18 hours of graduate mathematics or statistics content coursework, or equivalent
* Demonstrated expertise in mathematics education
* A commitment to establishing a productive, externally funded research program
* A commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels to a student body with varied backgrounds.

Duties primarily include establishing and maintaining an active research program in mathematics education and seek external funding; teaching undergraduate courses for K-12 pre-service teachers, especially methods courses for middle and secondary pre-service teachers; supporting the Math Pathways initiative; teaching graduate courses for the master's and doctoral students; providing service to the department, the university, and the profession |
