About the Role

The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager ensures that products and services meet established quality standards and meet customer expectations. This role oversees the development and enforcement of quality policies, manages QA teams, leads testing and audit activities, and drives continuous improvement. Success requires

strong technical knowledge of testing and quality methodologies, as well as effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL SKILLS



  • Strong leadership and team-development abilities.
  • Proficiency in quality management principles, methodologies, and tools (including manual and automated testing).
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and data-analysis skills.
  • Clear and effective communication, documentation, and reporting abilities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations, standards, and company processes.
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Schedule department safety meetings and participate in food safety training, meetings, and reviews.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of lab supplies, water treatment materials, and product ingredients.



CORE RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance plans, standards, and procedures, including inspection protocols and sampling plans.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate QA team members; support training and promote a collaborative, high-performance environment.
  • Oversee manual and automated testing activities to ensure products meet defined quality requirements before release.
  • Monitor product performance, analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement improvement
    initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies; prepare reports and present findings to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and gather feedback for process improvement.
  • Support departmental financial planning, including budget development and resource allocation.

What We're Looking For



  • B.A. or B.S. Degree preferred or 5 years of quality manager experience
  • Food/beverage manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong skills in 8D, SPC, FMEA preferred.
  • HACCP certification.
  • Possess good skills in math, writing, and science.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Computer skills include Excel and Word programs.
  • Possess good people and team building skills.
