Summary The Digital Services Intern is a multi-functional, cross-organizational role that supports the Digital Services team in executing and coordinating digital initiatives across the PlayCore portfolio. This role assists with the planning, documentation, reporting, and execution of digital service initiatives, with a hands-on focus on website maintenance, optimization, and light front-end web development within established platforms and governance frameworks. The role also contributes to continuous improvement opportunities across Digital Services processes and platforms. Under the guidance of the Digital Services team, the intern will contribute to approved website updates, accessibility improvements, quality assurance testing, and data-driven reporting efforts, while adhering to defined design systems, brand standards, and best practices. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills, effective written and verbal communication, and an enthusiasm for collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver high-quality digital services internally and externally. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Web Development & CMS Support
- Support website updates and enhancements within existing CMS platform (HubSpot CMS).
- Assist with front-end adjustments using HTML, CSS, etc.
- Implement approved content, layouts, and components under Digital Services direction.
- Prepare, organize, proof, and upload content, documents, images, etc. to websites and other web applications.
- Support accessibility improvements and remediation efforts.
- Assist with QA testing across devices, browsers, and screen resolution breakpoints.
- Apply metadata to website landing pages as required.
- Ensure all website updates adhere to established design systems, brand standards, and governance guidelines.
- Document website changes and support version control best practices.
- Contribute to documentation and recommendations related to website maintenance best practices and opportunities for process improvement.
Data Support
- Audit and report on the usage and engagement of Digital Services technology for all participating brands to support data-driven decision making.
- Support the development and dissemination of dashboards to promote KPIs and data-driven decision making.
Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to work 15-20 hours per week.
- Strong desire to learn along with a professional drive.
- Understands and can utilize digital platforms.
- Basic proficiency in HTML and CSS.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms or website builders.
- Ability to follow established design systems and development standards.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to take initiative, adapt, and problem solve.
- Strong work ethic, and a passion for technology and continuous improvement.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to research and learn new software programs.
- Ability to multi-task and be highly responsive in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior majoring in Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, Business, Business Analytics or related degree.
