Join Our Team as a Property Manager at our Brand New Lafayette Community! Are you an experienced affordable housing professional who thrives in mission-driven work? We're hiring a Property Manager to lead a brand new 54-unit affordable housing community, Lafayette, opening this spring as construction wraps up. This is a unique opportunity to help launch a community serving individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness-while leading a small, close-knit on-site team and making a meaningful impact from day one. What You'll Do
Lead all day-to-day operations of a newly constructed affordable housing community Oversee leasing, compliance, resident relations, and financial performance Serve as the primary on-site leader for residents, partners, vendors, and internal teams Build strong, respectful relationships with residents while maintaining firm boundaries and expectations Coordinate with local agencies and service providers to support resident stability Ensure compliance with LIHTC, HOME, and voucher program requirements Manage budgets, rent collection, reporting, and variance tracking Supervise and support a small on-site team Maintain the physical and financial health of the community from lease-up through stabilization
What You Bring
Affordable housing experience, with strong LIHTC knowledge (HUD experience preferred) Property management experience with operational and financial oversight Ability to work confidently with vulnerable populations, including homeless or at-risk residents Strong de-escalation skills, patience, and a resident-service mindset Experience collaborating with housing authorities, counties, and service agencies Lease-up experience preferred, but not required Leadership experience supervising on-site staff Comfort working independently while staying aligned with regional leadership
Compensation & Benefits
