Job Description

The Information Consumption team enables end-users and applications to access curated data through cleanrooms, query tools, BI platforms, notebooks, and global federated data management to support analytics and decision-making.

As a Manager in Information Consumption, you will lead a team of engineers focused on building scalable data solutions that democratize access to trusted data assets. You will partner with product, analytics, and infrastructure teams to deliver high-performance data services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the roadmap for data consumption platforms aligned with enterprise strategy.
  • Define and implement patterns for federated data access, query optimization, secure data sharing, and cloud migration.
  • Oversee development of APIs, query engines, and BI tool integrations.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and governance standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Data Infrastructure, Products, and BI.
  • Drive automation, monitoring, and optimization of BI services.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Bachelor's or master's in computer science, Data Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years in data engineering with 3+ years in leadership roles.
  • Expertise in distributed data systems, SQL, Python.
  • Experience with Cloud BI Platforms, Tableau, PowerBi, Looker, Databricks, dbt.
  • Experience working to uplift and mature BI product capabilities, policies definition, controls and frameworks
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with track record in synthesizing complex information to produce impactful management information and support informed decision making.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to develop and sustain relationships across levels and role types influences and collaborates with all levels, functions and geographies
  • Superior communication and problem-solving skills with a passion to get things done, learn and inspire peers and business partners to uplift skills and capabilities leadership and communication skills.
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 146,200.00 to 211,850.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
