Overview Construction Business Services Technical Review / Contract Administration is looking for a highly self-motivated individual dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate will lead a diverse team, oversee, and track the reviews of contractor payments, and collaborate with internal and external customers to meet operational requirements. This role involves working closely with the Construction organization to manage and maintain the timely and accurate review of contractor invoices to mitigate risk. Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills are essential. Construction, Operations or Management experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Manages the independent reviews of contractor payments for Construction Management, Public Improvement and processing performance statements, and modifications for Central Construction. This includes and is not limited to managing work queues, aligning business processes, meeting with customers, working with Quality Assurance, communicating change and processes, setting expectations for work deliverables, working with the CworX team for system processes, while managing and supporting Tech Review and Contract Admin employees through professional and personal development.
- Manage the CBS Technical Review team and Contract Administration teams which includes conducting reviews of contractor payments, processing change orders and ensuring compliance with all applicable procedures.
- Leads a diverse team of union and management personnel.
- Facilitates and/or participates in meetings with Construction to standardize business processes, support CBS customers, and organizes
- Monitors staff performance to ensure goals and quality standards are consistently met.
- Maintains payment databases, systems and reporting tools to support Construction Business Services.
- Acts as a liaison between CBS and Construction.
- Implements strategic improvements to enhance contractor payment processes and business value.
- Tracks and reviews trends for contractor payments and the processing of Lump Sum contracts. Implements strategic initiatives to drive efficiencies, enhance reporting capabilities and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Serves as the key interface to all internal customers, including Construction Management, Public Improvement and Central Construction.
- Collaborates with Construction Managers to align business processes for processing of contractor payments.
- Identifies process improvement opportunities strategic initiatives and develops proposals for enhancements.
- Supports contractor payment goals with internal customers.
Qualifications
Required Education/Experience
- Master's Degree and 2 years Relevant work experience or
- Bachelor's Degree and 5 years Relevant work experience or
- Associate's Degree and 7 years Relevant work experience or
- High School Diploma/GED and 9 years Relevant work experience
Relevant Work Experience
- Minimum of two years of supervisory/managerial experience, required.
- Working knowledge in one of the following areas: Construction Operations, Field Support, Management, preferred.
- Construction, Operations or Management Experience, preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products and Data Analytics software, preferred.
- Working knowledge of Maximo CworX, preferred.
- Ability to drive change and lead strategic initiatives, preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments with changing priorities while meeting deadlines, preferred.
- Ability to interact with all levels of management, preferred.

Additional Physical Demands
- The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
