Join Ecolab as aDirector of New Construction Business Development within our Nalco division supportingthe Global High Tech (GHT) segment.

The GHT Director of New Construction Business Development is responsible for leading a team of Business Development Managers (BDM) across GHT North America. This individual will manage and develop its direct reports, develop and execute the BDM GHT growth strategy, support the team in identifying and developing new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and expanding Ecolab's market presence. This role involves creating and implementing strategies to achieve revenue targets and fostering long-term client relationships.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals and objectives
  • Monitor and evaluate performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive success
  • Analyze data to inform decision-making and optimize business strategies
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to maintain a competitive edge
  • Managing and Coaching a Team of High-Performing Business Development Managers (BDM's)
  • Tracking Project and BDM Sales progress relative to Sales Targets and Goals
  • Driving Sales of New Innovation Products
  • Maintaining and Achieving Goal Zero Safety Incidents for the Team
  • Interacting with Internal Company Departments to Resolve Issues to speed Sales Processes and Timelines
  • Strategizing Account and Sales Focus for the Team
  • Networking and developing business relationships with general contractors, mechanical contractors, and design engineers
  • Supporting New Construction projects in the continental USA

Position Details

  • Candidate must reside within a commutable distance of a major US airport
  • 50% overnight travel required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
  • 10 years of sales experience in New Construction Environments with proven sales track record, including performing Design Consulting, Project Takeoffs, Quoting, and Technical Submittals
  • 5 years of sales management experience
  • Possess a valid US Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, industrial) or life sciences (biology, chemistry, etc.)
  • Data Center design and construction experience, working with design engineers and mechanical contractors
  • Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The base salary range for this position is $141,300.00 - $211,900.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentives based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
